Woodridge provides specialized inpatient substance abuse treatment services for adult males in the 39 bed Men’s Residential program. This highly structured program includes group and individual counseling that emphasizes cognitive behavior techniques, life skills training and 12-step principles. The program provides a safe environment in which clients can learn and practice sober living skills while examining the issues and barriers that brought them to treatment. Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team consisting of licensed and certified addiction counselors and nurses. Clients have 24-hour access to a physician. Emphasis is on developing an individualized aftercare plan that is focused on meeting each client’s specific relapse prevention and continuing care needs.
Outpatient services are available for males and females.
Woodridge specializes in substance abuse treatment for adolescent males 13 to 18 years of age who need inpatient care. The highly structured program is based on a positive behavior and support model as well as a modified therapeutic community model. Treatment addresses cognitive thinking errors, cognitive and behavioral change, social skills training, Balance and Restorative Justice principles and the principles of 12-Step recovery. The programs offer a safe environment in which clients learn and practice sober living skills while examining their issues and barriers that brought them to treatment. Services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team consisting of certified addiction counselors, recreation therapist and nurses. Clients have 24-hour access to a unit physician. Emphasis is placed on developing a strong aftercare plan that includes relapse prevention strategies and follow-up care.
Programming also includes both intensive outpatient and outpatient services for both males and females between the ages of 13 to 18 years of age.
Alternative Education (Naperville Bridge)
Woodridge is also the site of the Naperville Bridge School. The school provides services for up to 50 youth from Naperville School District 203 and offers education services to youth with both special education and alternative service needs. Our programs offer a safe, structured and positive environment with a flexible service delivery model that is individualized to meet academic needs and graduation requirements.
